I’ve been in love with fashion since I was 10 years old. I’m not talking about a Clueless Alicia Silverstone posh fashion upbringing.
I’m talking about the fact that 'W' magazine was my singular obsession in the sixth grade. I remember begging my mom for it in the grocery store. I loved the photography and how it captured the art of a woman's body. So, I kept buying the magazines and eventually sketched my own fashion designs everywhere I went. Fast forward to college...I finished my fashion design degree and went on to work in the Marketing world. It was there that I unexpectedly fell in love with vintage clothing. When I started Fashion Rewrite I was a buyer for a local designer resale boutique. It was a chance to revisit and explore my DIY roots while experimenting with vintage styling.
From there, Fashion Rewrite slowly morphed into what it is today. Not too long ago I quit my job as a buyer, dabbled a little in the software industry, and recently became a stay-at-home mom taking care of my baby Kolton. Needless to say, life has pulled me in a lot of different directions. However, I've always gone back to sewing and vintage because that's where my heart finds peace. Today you'll find me cuddling my baby boy, hiking through my local park, or hand crafting my DIY projects in sunny Clearwater, Florida.
So, join me. Join me in creating, learning, and making this world more beautiful by highlighting and rekindling it’s natural, fashion-forward, sharp slow-sweet beauty.
